After accessing the raw data from PACER, the data is standardize and segment the information. This process converts the data from a visual format into a raw, usable database.
- Data Enhancement
We enhance the data by cleansing address information using the USPS Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) software. This software ensures the accuracy of delivery point barcodes, zip codes, and carrier route information. Next, we run the CASS-certified data through the National Change of Address (NCOA) file, providing the most current delivery information available.
- Final Database Creation
The final step involves distributing the records within our custom database system. This system allows us to segment and categorize each piece of information within the records, facilitating query, analysis, and data fragmentation.
