The NADA Data 2013 State-of-the-industry Report shares some very positive statistics for the automobile dealership industry and automobile marketers looking to target ideal consumers through an automobile mailing list. Aside from an increase in new-vehicle sales reported from 2011 to 2012, used-vehicle sales were also up. Also, the cost of advertising for a new-vehicle sold in America in 2012 was $621, and direct mail automobile mailing lists accounted for 10.8% of the average dealership advertising expense. This ad expense is an increase from 10 years earlier as direct mail accounted for only 7.4% of advertising expenditures in 2002. Below are some of the other highlights of this yearly report created and provided by the National Automobile Dealers Association.
